The City of Arvada has engaged Denver-based landscape architecture, urban planning and design firm Dig Studio on a Strategic Reinvestment Plan that includes the development of a shared 20-year vision for Olde Town Arvada, as well as a study into the feasibility of permanently maintaining street closures that have created a pedestrian experience on a three-block stretch of downtown.

Downtown Arvada is about to get a dose of both local and non-local retailers.

Denver-based Snooze an A.M. Eatery and Smashburger have both committed to The Shops at Olde Town Station, in addition to Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse, which first opened a New York-style pizza restaurant in 2007 in Parker.

Dorn Nienaber and Chris Spears have been selling curated home and garden goods since 2016, but until April 1, they didn’t have their own space to showcase their finds. That all changed with the soft opening of Outside the Box, a new addition to Olde Town, located at 5760 Olde Wadsworth Blvd.

The neighborhood provides easy walkability, and when RTD’s G-line started operating in 2019, it added easy access to downtown Denver or Denver International Airport. The light rail also made it convenient for people across the metro to visit Arvada.

After opening two new locations at the end of the year at 7541 W. Bowles Ave. and 7960 S. Broadway in Littleton, a Dutch Bros spokesperson confirmed the chain is growing again in Wheat Ridge, Arvada and Denver’s Valverde neighborhood.
