Remembering Olde Town’s “Mayor,” Joe Hengstler

A note from Visit Arvada Director,
Jean Gordon

Please join me in taking a moment to honor our amazing friend, Joe Hengstler, the heart and driving force behind the Olde Town Business Improvement District.

Joe was a constant supporter of Visit Arvada and a true believer in everything that makes this community special. We miss his big smile, contagious energy, and can-do attitude. He was “one-of-one” in my book and someone who made each day just a bit brighter.

Rylee Dunn, the amazing Community Reporter for the Arvada Press, shared a touching tribute capturing the best of Joe and the joy he brought to everyone around him. Read the full article from the Arvada Press.

In the spirit of Joe, we hope that you consider making Olde Town, and all of Arvada, for that matter, a part of your plans for this fall and holiday seasons. Joe lived in Arvada with his wife, Megan, and daughter, Juniper, and loved exploring every inch of this beautiful city. Joe and his team worked tirelessly to promote this community of small businesses as a destination location. I can’t think of a better tribute to Joe than to show our love for him through our actions in the coming months by supporting the amazing restaurants, retailers, boutiques, galleries, distilleries, breweries and winery that call Arvada home.

Please Join Us in Celebrating Joe’s Life:
