Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just looking for a fun day out, The TRN is a hole-in-one. Open year-round and nestled in the heart of Olde Town, this indoor-outdoor golf experience is perfect for date nights, group outings, or solo swings. With two state-of-the-art golf simulators, a whimsical mini golf course, a full bar, rotating food trucks, and live music, there’s something for everyone.
Owner Kevin McCurdy has turned The TRN into a local gem that’s quickly become a must-visit. Don’t miss the live music on the patio every Friday and Saturday night this summer—it’s the perfect way to end a round.
1. The TRN celebrated their two-year anniversary this spring! How did the idea for this business come to you? How did it get its start?
I had owned a gym in Arvada for 12 years and I looked at putting some simulators in the gym during Covid, but that ended up falling through so I started looking for a space in Olde Town. I had always loved this building and when I saw it was for sale I decided to go all in. I sold my gym and started renovating the space in 2022 and we just celebrated our 2 Year anniversary in May.
2. If someone has never been to The TRN, tell us a little bit about it. As the owner, what are your favorite three things about the business and/or what are three things that guests of The TRN should not miss?
The TRN features a full bar and two indoor golf simulators, plus a spacious patio with free mini golf. We’ve got a food truck on-site, live music every Friday and Saturday on the patio, and special events all summer long. We also host golf leagues and tournaments year-round for all skill levels. With plenty of entertainment and space, The TRN is the perfect spot for parties, private events, or just a fun night out.
3. Tell us what you have planned for the summer! Anything special that we should save-the-date for?
We have live music on the patio every Friday and Saturday so definitely put that on the calendar. We are also starting Corn Hole tournaments on Thursdays and the free mini golf will be open all summer.
4. What do you love most about owning a small business in Arvada?
It’s the awesome customers and amazing staff that make it so special. This will be my 15th year owning a business in Arvada, and I’ve always loved the people in this community—their support has been incredible.
