Calling All Arvada Businesses: Your Chance To Be Part Of The City’s 120th Anniversary Celebration This Summer

The Arvada Visitors Center, in partnership with the City of Arvada, the Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA), the Olde Town Business Improvement District (BID), and the Arvada Chamber of Commerce wants to partner with your business to help celebrate Arvada’s 120th Anniversary!

We are inviting local businesses to offer a summer promotion of your choice to the Arvada community to help us raise awareness and celebrate Arvada’s existence for 120 years.

The promotion period will begin June 1 and will culminate at the end of August at Arvada Days on August 24, the City’s annual summer celebration.

Please note, each business participating in the program has the flexibility to develop their own promotion and offer it at any point throughout the promotion period. For example, a business can provide their offer in August only or throughout the entire summer, etc. In exchange, the City of Arvada will promote participating businesses on the 120th Anniversary webpage, social media channels, e-newsletters, and special PR opportunities.

Below you will find a list of key events and dates where we will be promoting Arvada’s 120th Anniversary:

June 22 - 120th Anniversary Campaign Kickoff:
We will kick off the celebration of Arvada’s 120th Anniversary by highlighting the first Rocky Mountain Gold Discovery via all promotional channels. Arvada is home to the first documented discovery of gold in the Rocky Mountain region. On June 22 in 1850, Lewis Ralston, a Georgia prospector, was headed for the California gold fields. That day, though, he found a quarter ounce of gold in a small stream near its mouth at Clear Creek right here in Arvada. It was worth $5 in 1850, and would be worth $1,024 today!

July 11 - Taste of Arvada

July 13 - Arvada on Tap

August 24  - Arvada Days (final celebration)

How it works:

  1. Fill out the form below to participate.

  2. Determine what promotion you will be offering the community. Ideas include 120th Anniversary-branded items, a special menu for $120 per couple, a 120th Anniversary special beer/coffee drink, etc.

  3. We will provide sample social media and e-newsletter content, graphics, etc. so that you can help promote your special offering.

  4. The City and its partners will use its marketing and PR resources to promote the summer-long celebration.
